1 Bar-headed Goose (on Jubilee with hundreds of Canadas and Greylags), 15 Dark-bellied Brent Goose (west along Allfleets - my first of the winter actually on the island), 2 Marsh Harrier (Ad male and juv), 6 Kestrel (well scattered feeding across grassland areas), 1 Merlin (in chase with Kestrels and bombing M.Harrier), 200 Ringed Plover (+), 4 Little Stint (in with Ringed Plover roost from path to School House), 50 Dunlin (+, mix of adults in winter plumage and juveniles), 3 Greenshank, 5 Sandwich Tern (Fishing over Allfleets west ), What a monster!! 1 Great White Egret (flew SSW), 6 Marsh Harrier, 2 Osprey ((?) one watched at extreme range alight on large double timber structure (similar to a huge pergola on Foulness) at 19:15 to roost with another bird already present on same structure which also looked to be an Osprey.), 1 Merlin (seen once in NE corner when had a go at a Marsh Harrier), 1 Peregrine Falcon (sat on post in NE corner), 2 Snipe, 1 Greenshank, 1 Short-eared Owl (came up from south Foulness to see off the Marsh Harriers in SE corner of Wallasea then returned to Foulness), 1 Yellow Wagtail [Paul Baker]
